R8243 Surface mount point motor (Hornby) £6.15 A surface mounted point motor that is designed to fit either side of the turnout.  Made to fit directly to OO track but will fit alongside N with a slight modification.  Wires are pre fitted. Mod' for N gauge Remove the two 1.1mm lugs that stick out either side of the operating arm on the motor.   Remove 1.5mm from the ends of the 2 nearest sleepers (4 in total) either side of the point sliding arm on the side which you will fit the motor.
