The title says it all.  A hardback book that has 158 pages containing information and drawings or photos (b/w + c) on every page.  This book has information from Richard Trevithick to Isambard Kingdom Brunel, with everyone in-between and either side.  Eighteen chapters that include the developement of steam on the railway.  Competition between the railway companies.  Railways through World WarII.  The decline of steam and british steam abroad, plus lots, lots more.  Also included is a pocket holding facsimile items such as a Flying Scotsman luncheon menu, a BR Southern region reserved seat ticket and an internal circular from the GWR pertaining to the Insurance of Passengers Luggage July 1920, plus many more items.  There is slight damage to the front cover just left of the word Steam hence the low price.
